BaliRoads was born from a simple observation: most road trip guides for Bali give you a vague list of places to see, without ever telling you how to actually link them together — timing, road conditions, where to sleep, what to book in advance. We wanted an itinerary you could follow kilometre by kilometre.

Our method

Each itinerary is built by cross-checking multiple sources: official maps and real GPS distances, up-to-date traveller reviews on Google Maps and Tripadvisor, road condition reports, and information from local tourism resources. Hotels are selected across three budget tiers per stop, checked for current ratings and location. Restaurants are chosen based on genuine, consistently high traveller ratings — not sponsorship. Activities link to established platforms (GetYourGuide, Klook) rather than obscure providers, to keep booking reliable.

We deliberately don't display a fabricated overall rating for the site or invent reviews — a choice made early on to keep the content trustworthy.

Affiliate links, transparently

  • Some links on BaliRoads (Booking.com, GetYourGuide, Tripadvisor, Klook, Heymondo, Saily, NordVPN) are affiliate links: if you book through them, we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you.
  • This revenue is what keeps the site free and lets us keep building new itineraries.
  • A recommendation is never made because it pays more — it's made because the place, hotel or activity fits the itinerary.

Found an error?

Prices, opening hours and road conditions in Bali change fast. If something on the site is out of date or wrong, we'd genuinely like to know — every correction makes the next traveller's trip easier.
